I rarely gush...but the whole of the team were a real pleasure to work with. 

Our event was for food journalists and whilst I appreciate that the Chef will be accustomed to serving the most discerning foodies our room full of food journalists all left with high praise for the menu he delivered.  All of our quirks were accommodated with the least fuss!

Furthermore, my clients and I were hugely impressed by the genuine interest the waiting staff expressed in what we were doing and their attentiveness towards our guests was warm and extremely friendly.

Just wanted to touch base with you regarding our event last night. It was simply faultless, the staff couldn't do enough for me and my clients. The room is beautiful and was set up perfectl y- even with our last minute number changes! The food was great and a great night was had by all.

My client was ecstatic with how the event went and thinks it was the best customer dinner he's ever thrown- his words.

Please thank all the floor staff, Dinzey and of course the chefs. And a personal thank you from me to you for answering my countless emails and dealing with my requests/ questions so quickly and efficiently.

A huge thank you to Deirdre, Dinzy and the team last night for making our 20th anniversary celebration for Have I Got News For You so enjoyable.

High levels of service are always expected at the Ivy but last night your team really excelled and everyone was looked after superbly. The food was fantastic as ever and I’ve already received a slew of emails this morning from people who had a fantastic time.

Thanks to you too for bearing with me in the run up with all the inevitable changes to numbers and dietary requirements!

I just wanted to say we had the most amazing time at The Ivy on Saturday evening. The food and the ambiance were both perfect. The team working that evening could not be faulted and made the evening really special for James and me. The fact that we barely noticed them was testament to their professionalism and I really appreciate the flexibility provided when a surprise guest from Botswana suddenly appeared on the night, and when our youngest guest was struggling with the main course.

Please could you particularly thank Esther, who snuck out so quietly that we didn't have a chance to thank her personally - her playing was just beautiful and everyone absolutely loved having the live music there.

The Ivy has a timber-panelled private dining room but the way the panelling has bee designed and installed gives it a much cleaner look than in former days.

FT How To Spend It - 3 April 2010

Thanks to you and to the staff at the Ivy for making the retirement lunch so successful yesterday.  I stayed for the pre-lunch drinks and it was a fabulous atmosphere.  The room and the tables looked great, and ooh those freshly made crisps were to die for!!!!!!

My boss just thought it was wonderful. He especially liked Dinzey and said the whole service of the meal was perfect, as was the food.  I've been organising functions like this for years and this has to be one of the most successful that I've done.

Just a quick note to thank you for help in providing a perfect wedding reception at The Ivy on Friday.


As one would have expected, the food and the service were exemplary, and Dinzey and all of the staff could not have been more helpful. All of our guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly, and more than one person commented that it was the best reception they had ever attended !

The party was absolutely fantastic!   Everybody raved about the food and service - Nigel and Dinzi looked after everything so efficiently and smoothly. 

The food was so delicious - it is the first time at any venue that we have used that a trial meal was surpassed by the quality of the actual food served.   There was not one thing that went wrong, which is very unusual!   Esta played beautifully as well.

We would like to thank you and Deidre for the brilliant way you organised the day - it was memorable - we only wish we could do it all again!

A quick note to say thank you to you and your colleagues for the dinner we had in the private dining room last week. We had a great time and it was great surprise for my wife's birthday.

The food was superb and the portions were very generous - if anything too generous, there is not normally much cheese left but I think everyone was full by the time we reached that course!!

Particular thanks to Dinsey who looked after us so well.  Please apologise if some of us got a little noisy towards the end of the evening - the wine was certainly flowing....
